Amanda served as the Program Coordinator at Columbus North International from 2010-2014. As Program Coordinator, she developed and implemented multiple trips annually, which served as experiential learning opportunities for students, to take their learning outside of the classroom. She also connected students with local organizations who provided mentors and facilitated research for students’ capstone projects. She also facilitated partnerships with local organizations who would offer enrichment activities to students. She also located and facilitated sister school relationships in Montreal. All of her work kept in mind multiple lenses and perspectives, including environmental and social justice considerations. Amanda’s work was deeply supported by Principal Ameer Kim El-Mallawany, who directed the school from 2010-2015.
